TIMEMORE X Matt Winton Behind the Brewer

The Idea Matt Winton proposed a simple but counterintuitive insight: increasing the number of contact points between the filter paper and the dripper can accelerate flow rather than restrict it.

TIMEMORE collaborated with 2021 World Brewers Cup Champion Matt Winton to engineer a dripper optimized for high-velocity brewing.

The performance whether on the competition stage or at home, VECTOR expands the range of possible brew profiles. Greater flow stability and temperature control allow for more precise, repeatable extraction across a wider range of coffees and techniques.

3-Zone Pressure Management

Our Isolation Zone decouples the brewer’s internal physics. Atmospheric pressure is maintained above for consistent filter support, while a pressure differential below accelerates flow-increasing drawdown and reducing late-stage stalling.

Stabilization Zone

Maintains pressure between the filter paper and body.

Isolation Zone

Creates a pressure barrier between the upper and lower sections of the brewer.

Acceleration Zone

A negative pressure zone incrementally increases flow rate from top to bottom across three layers.

Developed in collaboration with Matt Winton, the lower chamber features a dense, staggered lattice of contact points.

As the brew passes through this narrowing structure, a controlled pressure differential forms to increase flow velocity through the coffee bed. The result is faster drawdown and a cleaner finish, even when brewing lighter roasts.

Precision Air Inlets

Six perimeter vents maintain atmospheric pressure within the upper chamber.

By matching internal air pressure to the surrounding environment, the filter paper remains properly seated, and the water column stays stable - supporting an even, predictable pre-infusion.

Two-part Thermal Assembly

A 304 stainless Steel Brewer Core rapidly reaches thermal equilibrium with the coffee bed, while the Food-Grade ABS Thermal Sleeve limits heat loss to the surrounding environment.

This dual-layer construction maintains higher, more consistent brewing temperature for improved extraction consistency.

Vector’s internal geometry is designed specifically for 01 filter papers. This exact fit ensures the paper adheres perfectly to the support ribs, facilitating uniform extraction from the first pour to the final drawdown.

Fully Modular Design

A precision-threaded locking ring secures the assembly, allowing full disassembly of the Brewer Core, Thermal Sleeve, and Base. Every surface is accessible for easy, thorough cleaning after each brew.

Note: Metal conducts heat, always use the thermal sleeve during brewing to prevent burns.
